They say that it is a playground for the rich, but I can say that there’s no other place like Singapore. This vibrant city-state boasts of beautiful cultures, delightful culinary experiences, state-of-the-art accommodations and exciting nightlife; a totally different kind of experience from the one you could expect in other Asian countries.
The Gardens by the Bay are a must visit in this iconic city. It’s a stunning and breathtaking 250 acres nature park in the central region of Singapore. This park consists of three waterfront gardens, the largest being the Bay South garden. It’s flower dome is the largest glass greenhouse in the world.
An absolute must is to have the Singapore Sling at the Long Bar of the Raffles Hotel, with all the monkey nut shells on the floor. The Raffles, originally opened in 1887, was under renovation for more than two years and recently opened its doors in 2019 (check date for reopening)
If you have visited China before, Singapore’s china town neighborhood will take you back there, from the authentic Chinese food to the bright red lanterns. Visiting the impressive beautiful Sri Mariamman Temple, Arab Street & St Andrews Cathedral clearing brought to light the melting pot of cultures.
For those with kids Sentosa Island with all its adrenaline packed activities and Universal Studios is a must. Right next door is the huge Vivo shopping mall.
