Best of Kenya and Tanzania

This 11 day Itinerary is a combination of both Kenya & Tanzania safari experience. Begin your adventure in the bustling capital of Kenya; then your off on safari, starting with Amboseli located on Southern Kenya crossing border to our neighboring country to visit Ngorongoro conservation are which is home to the vast, volcanic Ngorongoro crater and the “big 5” game. Cross over to Serengeti National Park, a vast rolling plain whose sparse vegetation allows for some of the best wildlife viewing in the world. Continuing to the border at Isabania, cross back into Kenya and head for the breathtaking beauty of the Masai Mara National Reserve.

Day 1: Nairobi

You arrive at Airport and transferred to Nairobi Serena Hotel, Nairobi, for an overnight stay.Overnight: Nairobi Serena Lodge (D)

Day 2: Nairobi / Amboseli

After breakfast, you Drive to the Amboseli National Park for your stay at the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge (standard room).This afternoon we enjoy our first game drive, across the game rich plains of one of East Africa’s most prolific wildlife areas. Lying within sight of the imposing shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro in neighbouring Tanzania, the expansive plains and infinite skies of Amboseli present us with a landscape that is truly African. Home to the proudly independent Masai, its dry savannahs thunder beneath the onslaught of the vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, impala and the elephants for which it is famed. Panoramas filled with lush swamplands and acacia forests provide ideal havens for myriad birds and small mammals, including bee-eaters, kingfishers, caracals and warthogs, whilst cheetahs, lion and hyena hunt the open grasslands. Overnight: Amboseli Serena Lodge on Full Board Basis.


Day 3: Amboseli

You enjoy Our morning and afternoon game drives see us in search of a staggering array of wilderness experiences, from the magnificent herds of game that sweep across these dusty plains, to the majestic sight of some of the 700 or so elephants for which Amboseli is justly famous. We may even be lucky enough to perhaps encounter the rare black rhino.Overnight: Amboseli Serena Lodge on Full Board Basis

Day 4: Amboseli / Arusha / Ngorongoro

After breakfast we check out and take a morning game drive en-route towards the border town of Namanga, where we cross into Tanzania and continue to Arusha.  After lunch in Arusha, we resume our journey to the spectacular setting of the Ngorongoro Crater for our stay at the Ngorongoro.Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge on Full Board Basis

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Spend a full day exploring the woodlands, lakes and wide-open plains of the Crater floor. Ngorongoro offers unsurpassed viewing of rare black rhinoceros, which are undisturbed by vehicles and allow viewing at close range. Some of its other 25,000 residents include lion, elephant, hyena, wildebeest, buffalo, hippo, ostrich and an abundance of pink flamingos on Lake Magadi. Return to your lodge late afternoon.Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge on Full Board Basis

Day 6: Ngorongoro/ Serengeti

After breakfast, you drive to Serengeti National Park, a vast rolling plain whose sparse vegetation allows for some of the best wildlife viewing in the world. The annual migration of wildebeest and zebra is one of the park’s great attractions, but throughout the year the Serengeti is excellent for seeing predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah, along with elephant, giraffe, hyena, hippo, rhino, and many varieties of antelopes and birds. En-route visit to Olduvai Gorge (Optional at addional cost). PM game drive of the park Overnight: Serengeti Serena Lodge on Full Board Basis


Day 7: Serengeti National Park

A thrilling day of game viewing will take you to prime areas of central Serengeti for seeing the fullest possible variety of animals. Visit hippo pools in the Seronera Valley, forests where leopard and colobus monkeys live in the treetops, kopjes where lions laze in the shade, and riversides where large animals congregate to drink. Return to your lodge for excellent meals and time to relax on your private balcony, swim in the infinity pool, and perhaps take in a Maasai cultural program or guided nature walk. Day 8: Serengeti – Western Corridor

After breakfast, you will have a game viewing of the Serengeti and will arrive at one of the most luxury camp in western corridor of the Serengeti Plain. Enjoy your stay. Overnight: Serengeti Kirawira Camp (B,L,D)

Day 9: Serengeti / Masai Mara

After an early morning game drive, we continue to the border at Isabania , where we cross back into Kenya and head for the breathtaking beauty of the Masai Mara National Reserve. Overnight: Mara Serena Safari Lodge on Full Board Basis

Day 10: Masai Mara

With almost every species of animal great and small in the park, this is one of Africa’s premier wildlife areas and today we enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives in search of the ‘Big Five’ (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino). This is safari at its best and Africa at its most spectacular. Heartland of the Masai, southwest Kenya presents a landscape where Africa is laid bare in all its majesty. Here the endless struggle for survival is played out across the vast open plains and riverine forests of this captivating land. Each year the Mara explodes into life, as the annual migration of great herds of wildebeest journey from the Serengeti to fresh pastures in the north. Between July and October the Mara River becomes the setting for the crossing of some 1.3 million animals, bringing with them the inevitable predators and the inevitable dramas. Day 11: Mara / Nairobi /Depart

After breakfast, you drive to Nairobi or take a game drive en-route to the Serena airstrip for the flight back to Nairobi – with supplement cost. on arrival we transfer to the city hotel for day room. In evening, transfer to the airport for your return flight back home.

  • Transportation: In Kenya its Mini Bus with pop up roof & In Tanzania its a 4×4 Vehicle with pop up roof for easy game viewing & photography on private basis DURING safari in Northern Tanzania.

  • Services of an English speaking driver-guide, game viewing drives and park entrance fees as indicated in the itinerary or in French or German or Spanish on request

  • All Government taxes and levies.
