  HOW TO GET THERE

Once you arrive at the international airport, you will be met and transferred to the beach destination of your choice. Most resorts are within a 100km radius, meaning you should be sipping a cocktail on the beach in under an hour! The local transport is effective with many buses and private taxis that ply the island. You could rent a car, scooter or bicycle if you want to explore at your own pace

  CLIMATE

Mauritius is an all-year round destination with fabulous weather. Most tourists tend to visit between October and April, the summer months when temperatures are around 30°C and you can cool off in the warm Indian Ocean. It rains from January to March, clearing the humid air but there can be cyclones during this time too.
If you are not a sun lizard then the winter months from July to September are your best bet. Temperatures hover in the 25°C range, and it is drier, better for outdoor activities like hiking. The inland areas are slightly cooler than the coast, though a permanent sea breeze does help relieve the heat. The east and southern regions are slightly colder and wetter than the west and north, though the difference is marginal.
